Dr. Rachel Root is a doctoral-level therapist and a licensed professional counselor.  She has extensive experience working with clients of many different capacities, including work with individuals, couples, children/adolescents, families, and groups.  She has helped clients deal with issues ranging from the treatment and maintenance of severe mental illness, to working with clients who wish to improve their day-to-day lives.

She received her Master's Degree and PhD in Counseling Psychology at Northern Arizona University, where she worked in a variety of settings in both Flagstaff and Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Boise.  Her view of therapy is one that is client-driven and specifically suited to fit each individual's needs.  Her therapeutic style is supportive, non-judgmental, and aids her clients in finding the solutions and answers that they are seeking.  Her therapeutic style can help couples regain their intimacy and compassion for one another, help parents deal with children who are having behavior problems, assist individuals in assessing the areas in their lives that need re-adjustment, and much more.
